It took a few shaves to get used to shaving with the One Blade Element using the Hi Carbon blades. I'm on my fifth shave on the first blade and have achieved smooth shaves each time. Once you have the correct angle and apply the right amount of pressure you can complete three passes in no time. I'm looking forward to shaving with this razor and perfecting my technique.

My hybrid broke after 4 years of service. Head fell off the handle. The plastic or resin that held the pivoting head wore out. Since that model is no longer available (perhaps we now know why) They offered me a generous credit to upgrade for a Genesis or replace at no cost for the Element. I chose the ladder.
I thought I'd miss the weighty "heft" of the Hybrid when first picked it up. Also the head is a a different metal then the Hybrid.
Fact is the head holds the blade tighter than the Hybrid. Thus it felt like a better performing razor!

First off, this is a real review. I have tried multiple single edge razors. Used to always use Harry's razors, but the blades just were not being produced well anymore. And I shave every day. I have tried both supply co single edge razors, and they both cut and roughened up my skin. First time using the element today, and I am beyond happy. Little difficult to get the blade in, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The articulation on the head is awesome too compared to the supply. The single edge max by supply only had a small amount of movement, but the element has a great amount but it is still tight. Very smooth and clean shave. Even considering upgrading to a genesis in the future!

I have many time tried to shave with classic one blade safety razor. My skin never support.

For years I'd used the 5-blade Fusion razor, until I found Supply. I realized that a single blade system shaved closer than the multi-blade systems and was much more comfortable.
For a while, I was happy with Supply, but was I was experiencing a lot of nicks. There were two big reasons. The technology of the razor doesn't enforce the correct angle of the blade to the skin. Additionally, I was finding huge variations in the sharpness of their blades. I received one package where the blades were not sharpened at all. You could run your finger across the edge and not get cut! OneBlade solved all these problems.
The Feather blades are good, but dull quickly. You get one or two shaves per blade. The HiCarbon SE blades are a different story. They are great! They seem sharper and last much longer, something like four or five shaves.
